-- 10 Airlines at SJC Now Offer Nonstop Service to 11 Cities in Asia, Europe and Mexico --
San José, CA – In honor of Flag Day today, Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) held a flag-raising ceremony outside the recently expanded and remodeled International Arrivals Building (IAB). The U.S. Flag was hoisted into its permanent position on the exterior wall of the IAB, alongside international flags representing the six countries SJC's airlines serve nonstop from Silicon Valley.
Representatives of SJC's 10 airlines offering nonstop flights to a total of 11 cities in six countries - Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Mexico and the United Kingdom - joined with Airport staff to commemorate Flag Day and to also witness the hoisting of the flags representing the countries their airlines serve nonstop from SJC.
"Today we put the finishing touches on our International Arrivals Building by permanently raising the U.S. flag and those of the six countries our carriers serve nonstop from SJC," said Director of Aviation John Aitken. "These seven flags together represent how SJC is transforming how Silicon Valley travels and how the Airport team and our many partners are bringing the world closer to San Jose's doorstep."
SJC airlines offer nonstop service to the international destinations important to Silicon Valley travelers flying for both business and leisure:
Canada - Vancouver served by Air Canada
China - Beijing served by Hainan and Shanghai on Air China.
Mexico - Cabo San Lucas on both Alaska and Southwest; Guadalajara on Aeromexico, Alaska and Volaris; Mexico City served by Aeromexico; and Morelia and Zacatecas via Volaris.
Germany - Frankfurt on Lufthansa.
Japan - Tokyo-Narita served by ANA.
United Kingdom - London-Heathrow via British Airways.
The $8.2M expansion and remodel of SJC's IAB was completed in spring 2017. The facility now offers a second baggage carousel, additional square feet of space and an enclosed area for those greeting international travelers as they clear U.S. Customs.

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
