Syracuse, New York –Syracuse Hancock International Airport would like passengers to join us in celebrating National Aviation Day.
The holiday, that celebrates the development of aviation, was established in 1939 by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. President Roosevelt issued a presidential proclamation which designated the anniversary of Orville Wright's birthday to be National Aviation Day.
Although National Aviation Day is August 19th, the airport’s celebration will start Thursday, August 17th and run through Saturday, August 19th. Ticketed passengers that are in the terminal during those days will have the opportunity to spin a wheel to win a number of prizes, grab an aviation themed treat, or get their pictures taken at our new selfie spot.
“It is important for us to stop and remember how important aviation has been in shaping the history and trajectory of the United States, and that is what we intend to do by celebrating National Aviation Day,” said Christina Callahan, Executive Director.
PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
