Overaasen AS, located in Gjovik Norway, was awarded a contract for 54 – RS400 High Speed Runway Sweepers by the Port Authority of NY & NJ in June 2017.
After a very rigorous RFQ and evaluation process the Port Authority of NY & NJ gave the order to Overaasen. In addition to the 54 unit order, the Port Authority issued a contract for 12 more units on November 15th 2017 for JFK. The RS400 units will be delivered to JFK International, Newark Liberty, LaGuardia and Teterboro Airports. The new units consist of 27 foot multi-sectional plows, Mercedes Benz 4x4 cab over trucks and the Overaasen High Speed Runway Sweeper. The Port Authority currently owns 41 RS400 units located at the three largest airports in the Port Authority system. Delivery of the new units began in February 2017 with 28 units being delivered in 2017 and the balance will be delivered in 2018.
MYSLIK, Inc, the North American distributor for Overaasen AS will coordinate the delivery, training and continued support for the RS400 units delivered to the Port Authority of NY & NJ as well as three RS400 units delivered to the Colorado Springs Airport and one unit to Jackson Hole Airport, which will give Jackson a total of 4 RS400 units.
