Syracuse, New York – The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority is pleased to announce The Transportation Security Administration is ready to open their TSA Pre✓® Enrollment Center at Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The center was installed at the Airport Tuesday November 3, 2015 and will be officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday November 13, 2015 at 10:30am.
With great help from Senator Charles Schumer, TSA decided to install the enrollment center at the airport to provide passengers in our region with a convenient location to enroll in the program. TSA Pre✓® allows enrolled passengers to move through an expedited screening program where they are not required to remove their shoes, light outerwear, belts, laptops or 3-1-1 compliant liquids. Approximately 140 airports and 12 airlines participate in TSA Pre✓® nationwide.
“With the great news that the Syracuse TSA Pre-Check center will be up-and-running, there is only one thing left for Central New Yorkers to do – enroll. This center will mean Syracuse travelers no longer have to travel 40 minutes out of the way to register and can instead experience a more convenient travel experience with reduced wait times,” said Senator Charles E. Schumer. “Syracuse Hancock International Airport is a major hub for business and leisure travelers alike, and I was proud to help bring this program to Central NY, which will shorten security lines and make travelers’ days a lot less stressful.”
“Pre-check is a convenient system that will make travelling easier and more efficient for Central New Yorkers,” said Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. “I am pleased that Syracuse residents will now be able to enroll in this program at a center at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport.”
The Center will be open for walk in appointments from 9am – 12pm on Nov. 11 & 12 as a soft launch and from 9am-5pm for walk-ins on Nov. 13 as its grand opening. Following the opening, the center will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm for appointments only until there is enough staff to accommodate walk-ins as well. Those wishing to make an appointment can do so online beginning November 13, 2015 at tsa.gov. The process requires an application to be filled out which can either be done at the location or ahead of time by finding the application online.
"The TSA Pre-Check Program has fundamentally changed the way Americans think about passenger screening, and the opening of an enrollment center in Syracuse will safely improve the experience of our traveling public. As this program expands, it is critical that it not compromise security in any way.” said Congressman John Katko. “I look forward to the implementation of the Pre-check program in Syracuse and will continue my work as chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee's Transportation Security subcommittee to monitor the safety and efficiency of this program."
“We are pleased to work with TSA and the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority to make it even more convenient for passengers to apply for the popular TSA Pre✓® program,” said Charles Carroll, senior vice president for identity services at MorphoTrust. “Millions of passengers have enjoyed more efficient security screening through TSA Pre✓®. We continue to support the program by expanding locations and hours of our IdentoGO® Enrollment Centers nationwide.”
Attending and speaking at the opening will be: Airport Executive Director Christina Callahan, C.M., TSA’s Federal Security Director Bart Johnson, Joe Nehme on behalf of Senator Charles Schumer, Congressman John Katko, and MorphoTrust Senior Vice President Charles Carroll.

2022 Charlotte Douglas International Airport Report of Achievement
Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
