Airports Going Green 2018 Call for Sustainability Award Nominations CHICAGO, July 30, 2018 -- Each year, the Airports Going Green (AGG) conference recognizes and celebrates sustainability in the aviation industry. As the 2018 AGG conference approaches, the nomination period for this year's awards is open, and has been extended through August 6, 2018. You are invited to nominate projects, programs, initiatives, or individuals that exemplify sustainability leadership in the aviation industry. Self-nominations are acceptable! Nominees should demonstrate leadership, innovation, and embrace the ideal of the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. Nomination forms are available online at http://www.airportsgoinggreen.org Submissions will be accepted through August 6, 2018. The announcement of the winners will be on October 8, 2018 via the AGG website. The Awards are presented annually at the Airports Going Green Conference. The 2018 conference will be held November 4-7, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center. From 2007-2015 the Airports Going Green Conference was held in Chicago and co-hosted by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). Since its beginning, the Conference has successfully addressed the environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainability, and is a proven formula for highlighting the latest innovations in the aviation industry. Progressively growing in attendance and popularity since 2007, the conference has been held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2016), and Dallas, Texas (2017). Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community.
