Fresno, CA – City of Fresno Director of Aviation Henry Thompson is pleased to announce that Francisco Partida has been selected the Airports Department’s new Assistant Director of Aviation. Mr. Partida’s appointment follows a nationwide search to fill the Airports Department’s leadership role as Assistant Director for Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) and Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH).
“We are very excited to welcome Francisco to Fresno and as the newest member of our Airports Department team,” said Director of Aviation Henry Thompson. “Francisco was selected amongst several candidates and proved to be the outstanding individual to fill this all-important role. His valuable industry knowledge and leadership style will further our continued focus to grow Fresno’s airports.”
Mr. Partida is an experienced airport executive with a strong background in management and joins Fresno’s Airports Department from Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport in Brownsville, Texas. He brings over 18 years of professional aviation experience, including having served in airport management, as a corporate pilot, and in private sector marketing and advertising positions.
Mr. Partida earned a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Business Management from the Universidad Cuauhtémoc in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives and a United States Airport Professional (USAP) through Airports Council International – North America.
Mr. Partida began his new role at the airport on March 20, 2023.
