New concession option offers local Milwaukee flavors and grab and go favorites
MILWAUKEE (April 25, 2023) – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and award-winning airport concessionaire Paradies Lagardère are excited to announce the grand opening of Concordia Market on Concourse C.
An extension of the Airport’s successful Vino Volo restaurant, Concordia Market is the newest location from Paradies Lagardère’s locally customized gourmet market series.
The name pays homage to Milwaukee’s Historic Concordia Neighborhood, which dates to the 1850’s and is known for its large, elegant Victorian homes. The location features unique specialty items that differentiate it from other options in the Airport. Bronzeville Crossing, Bay View Exchange, Miller Valley Market, and Summerfest Maketplace are all existing Paradies Lagardère-operated locations at MKE that are similarly customized with elements from corresponding Milwaukee neighborhoods.
Concordia Market offers travelers the opportunity to enjoy an array of local traditions. Fresh daily food options include Milwaukee-based Press Waffles, pastries and sandwiches with Wisconsin-based Nueske’s meat, and coffee provided by the popular Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. Travelers will also find a plentiful selection of grab and go options like sandwiches, parfaits, salads, and wraps.
The retail portion of Concordia Market offers great options for gourmet snacks, bottles of wine, and cans of beer from regional brewers. Local selections include cheese curds and block cheese from Clock Shadow Creamery, as well as a variety of healthy gluten-free, keto, and organic treats.
“The opening of Concordia Market brings added convenience and high-quality food options to those flying from our world-class MKE airport,” said County Executive David Crowley. “Passengers from around the world now have another way to easily access great products made locally here in Milwaukee.”
“We are thrilled to open the new Concordia Market at MKE and deliver a fresh, unique gourmet experience for travelers,” said Claude Guillaume, Senior Vice President of Operations for Paradies Lagardère Dining. “With a sophisticated sense of place, Concordia offers our guests an array of local artisanal assortments, including fresh and healthy snacks, quality grab and go, bottled wine, specialty retail treats, local coffee and more. It is a true market experience.”

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
