Braun to provide strategic direction to premier airports of the nation’s capital
FAIRFAX, Va. (December 13, 2018)—Dynamis President and Chairman of the Board John Braun has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), which operates and oversees capital improvements for the two leading airports of the mid-Atlantic region, Reagan National and Dulles International. Members of MWAA’s Board of Directors are appointed by the Governors of Virginia and Maryland, the Mayor of Washington, D.C., and the President of the United States of America. Board members’ terms are for six years.
“I am extremely honored to have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority,” said Braun. “I look forward to serving and to working to help establish policy and provide direction to this extremely important organization. Ultimately, my goal will be to help ensure a positive experience for the traveling public, as well as to support the economy of our region and enhance the quality of life for our citizens who rely on these essential facilities and services.”
“We are very excited to welcome John Braun to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors,” said Chairman of the Board Warner H. Session. “John is an industry veteran who will bring an abundance of related expertise and insight to the Board. He will be a tremendous asset to the team and to travelers.”
John Braun brings more than 30 years of experience in aviation, government, and military issues to the MWAA Board. Braun has been President and Chairman of the Board at Dynamis, a leader in emergency management, preparedness, and security services to federal and commercial customers, since its inception in February 2008.
Under Braun’s leadership, Dynamis has played an influential role in shaping the future of civil aviation and the broader transportation sector. Since 2013, the company has partnered with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on several initiatives including development and deployment of TSA senior leadership performance training; multiple emergency management and training development programs; and mission essential training curricula for officers. These initiatives were instrumental in delivering significant improvement in agency performance during a period of intense scrutiny and dynamic threats to civil aviation.
Dynamis also provides the Federal Aviation Administration with risk and program management and is supporting the agency’s investment in FAA’s enterprise-wide mission support software replacement
program. In addition, Dynamis is actively supporting security and public safety in the Transportation sector, partnering with Amtrak on its Operation RAILSAFE Partner Training Program. RAILSAFE serves as a unifying training and exercise program that brings together over 200 separate agencies to create a cohesive counterterrorist capability to protect the nation’s rail network and passengers.
Prior to Dynamis’ founding, Braun served as Vice President of Washington, D.C. Operations for Teledyne Technologies, one of the nation’s largest aviation and aerospace contractors, where he oversaw numerous aviation, defense, and aerospace initiatives.
Braun also has a long history working in support of the U.S. Armed Forces, primarily with the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Pentagon as a Senior Policy Analyst in the National Security Policy Division of U.S. Air Force Headquarters, as well as the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition.

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
