North Little Rock, Ark. – October 19, 2018 – Garver today announced that President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Dan Williams will retire in December 2019 as part of a planned internal succession strategy. Brock Hoskins, the company’s current chief operating officer and board member will become Garver’s president on January 1, 2019. Williams will remain Garver’s CEO throughout 2019 as the company celebrates its centennial year.
“After a rewarding 36-year career at Garver, including nearly eight years as president and CEO, now is the right time to begin the transition to Garver’s next generation of leadership,” said Williams. “Garver’s consciously strategic approach to leadership succession ensures a smooth transition and leadership continuity that will keep our company moving forward. Brock and I have worked together for 28 years, and I will leave the company at the end of 2019 confident that under his leadership as president and CEO, Garver will continue to evolve and grow.”
Garver has grown to more than 500 employees, providing innovative solutions for aviation, construction, facilities design, federal, power, transportation, survey, and water projects from 26 offices in 11 states.
Hoskins joined Garver in 1990 and was named chief operating officer and executive vice president in 2012. Hoskins also serves on the board and managed the company’s Northwest Arkansas office, which has grown to more than 85 employees under his direction.
“Dan’s exceptional leadership has been a major component in guiding the company through transformational growth in new markets,” Hoskins said. “Garver has continued to grow successfully because our clients trust us to deliver the best solutions to their most challenging problems and I’m honored to continue that momentum.”
The company also announced that Michael Graves will become chief operating officer in January 2019 when Hoskins becomes president. Graves has been with the company for 14 years, serving as vice president and regional director.
Garver also announced that Kurtis John has joined the leadership team as general counsel and vice president. John comes to Garver from Kiewit Corporation, where he served as assistant general counsel for the past seven years.
