JACKSON, MS – The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) has selected Carolyn DuPré as their new Chief Financial Officer. JMAA operates Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field (HKS). Ms. DuPré began her position with JMAA on August 3, 2020.
Carolyn brings more than twenty years of experience in leadership roles within finance and accounting in the education, hospital/healthcare and public service sectors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has provided financial consulting to a broad range of clients. Ms. DuPré most recently served as Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services/Chief Financial Officer for Alcorn State University where she also served as a member of the University Cabinet and Executive Council.
Previously, Ms. DuPré held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Jackson Hinds Comprehensive Health Center. While there, Ms. DuPré implemented training programs and worked with all constituents to ensure compliance in all areas.
In her new role, Ms. DuPré will coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for JMAA, oversee the Authority’s financial statements and serve as JMAA’s financial representative to internal and external stakeholders.
“Working for JAN will take me to a new and different industry, which I find very exciting,” said Ms. DuPré. “I am looking forward to being in the airport industry with all of its opportunities as well as challenges. Accepting this position proves that finance covers many areas and can take us to a variety of adventures in our career.” Ms. Ms. DuPré graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from Jackson State University and has been active in several organizations such as American Society of Women Accountants and Association of Government Accountants.

Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
