NANTUCKET MA MAY 23, 2019. Nantucket Memorial Airport is the recipient of a new market entrant offering three new non-stop destinations for the 2019 season. Southern Airways Express will fly to ACK from Norwood, MA (OWD), New Haven, CT (HVN), and Providence, RI (PVD).
“These flights offer expanded choices for both year round residents and seasonal visitors, and allows them to cut hours off their respective travel times.” said Nantucket Airport Assistant Manager Noah Karberg. “The interline agreement between Southern Airways Express and American Airlines also opens up the entirety of American’s route network via a 9-seat aircraft that makes sense for the Island.”
Southern’s flights will be operated on roomy and quiet Cessna Grand Caravans, which are nine-seat turbine aircraft. “This is the largest plane in the marketplace designed for nine passengers,” says Cestari. “It has plenty of luggage capacity and provides a more pleasant flying experience than the older piston aircraft traditionally used by other carriers into Nantucket.”
Thomas Rafter, Nantucket Airport Manager credits Southern Airways Express for their long-standing outreach. “Mark originally approached us several years ago regarding the Nantucket and New England markets. They have been diligent and deliberate with their investment in other locations, and we are excited for their investment in the ACK community.”
With this addition ACK now offers 10 destinations over 7 airlines.
As of the time of this release, ACK flights are available for as low as $119 one-way through Southern Airways website, www.iFlySouthern.com.
PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
