Signature Flight Support Nashville has completed construction of a new executive and sports charter terminal and 25,000 sq. ft. hangar, adding to its legacy terminal and 12 other aircraft hangars. The terminal’s interior design theme is an ode to Nashville’s unparalleled music history and features artifacts from musicians and celebrities that have visited Signature Nashville throughout the years. The reception area’s wall is decorated to resemble barrel staves from whiskey barrels. The sports charter section pays homage to Nashville area professional and collegiate sports teams.
The $15 million investment in the new 8,000 sq. ft. terminal and hangar was the result of a new 30-year lease with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA). Signature Nashville plans to renovate its legacy facility in 2019, providing additional capacity for both tenant and transient traffic. A future 16,000 sq. ft. hangar is planned as well.
Signature Nashville’s team is committed to its community and volunteers staff time and facilities to support local non-profits such as New Leash on Life’s pet adoption efforts and Mur-Ci Homes which benefits individuals with severe and profound disabilities. Signature Nashville supports general aviation by sponsoring The Middle Tennessee State Women’s Flight Racing Team.
Tony Lefebvre, Chief Operating Officer for Signature Flight Support remarked, “The new Signature Nashville is one of our shining stars in our global network. We are proud of our team at Signature Nashville and know that customers visiting Nashville will enjoy the new facility and our staff’s warm hospitality. Nashville’s economy is booming, and population growth continues to soar. Together with the MNAA’s “BNA Vision”, Signature Nashville is positioned to be the premier facility for general aviation at BNA.”
2022 Charlotte Douglas International Airport Report of Achievement
Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
