LOUISVILLE, KY (January 19, 2021) – Southwest Airlines is making it easier than ever to get to the beach this Spring. Beginning Thursday, March 11, Southwest will commence daily service to Fort Myers (RSW) from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF). All flights will be aboard a 143-seat Boeing 737 and are currently on sale for travel through April 11, 2021. Find low fares at Southwest.com.
“Southwest proved the market by testing it during the holiday travel season. It was tremendously popular. We weren’t surprised, but we were delighted with the response, given the impact of the pandemic on travel demand. Fort Myers is one of our top destinations, so we are thrilled that Southwest will offer this convenient and affordable service this Spring,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Southwest’s growth at SDF speaks to the trajectory we’re on as a market and an airport. We hope this is the first of many new flight announcements this year.”
Fort Myers is Southwest’s 12th nonstop destination from Louisville. From SDF, Southwest also flies to Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Dallas-Love Field, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston-Hobby, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa.
