FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2021) – During December, 648,011 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Fla. This was a decrease of 39.9 percent compared to December 2019; however, it was a 29.5 percent increase compared to November 2020. Year-end passenger traffic was 5,978,414 passengers, a decrease of 41.5 percent compared to 2019.
The traffic leader in December was Southwest Airlines with 137,349 total passengers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Delta (108,846), United (94,968), American (80,042) and Spirit (78,883).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 8,474 aircraft operations, a decrease of 9 percent compared to December 2019. Page Field saw 10,875 operations, a 9.6 percent increase compared to December 2019.
