Operator will leverage Signature’s coast-to-coast network of private aviation terminals to continue aggressive growth.
March 27, 2024 - Private aviation company Airshare announced today they have entered a nationwide FBO service agreement with Signature Aviation, the world's largest network of private aviation terminals. Through this nationwide partnership, Signature has committed to providing Airshare customers with premier aviation hospitality services at approximately 120 locations.
Following their acquisition of the Wheels Up aircraft management business in September 2023, Airshare became one of the largest fleet operators in the United States. Their aircraft management and charter services are already offered nationwide, while the Airshare Fractional Program has recently expanded into new regions, offering fractional ownership and jet cards in several new states including Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Ohio, Georgia, and Arkansas. With the company’s fleet now approaching 150 aircraft, Airshare was actively pursuing a new partnership to leverage the scale and expertise of a national FBO network, while ensuring all customers would consistently receive an exceptional experience regardless of where they fly.
Through this process, Signature Aviation distinguished its network as the ideal partner to support Airshare’s growth. With the largest network of private aviation terminals in the world, Signature excels in providing a modern, exceptional experience built on connections with its guests. The partnership will provide both organizations the opportunity to elevate private aviation hospitality with shared experience in acquisitions, growth and an unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.
“Partnering with Signature Aviation was a natural decision for Airshare, as we have already been working with them for several years and felt strongly that we share similar values,” said John Owen, CEO and President of Airshare. “With our fleet increasing substantially and our company recently doubling in size, teaming with an FBO network we were confident in became even more critical as we explore future growth plans. We are excited about the benefits this new agreement will provide for both our managed and fractional customers.”
“The updated partnership between Signature Aviation and Airshare builds on a shared commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences,” said Clarissa Sebastian, Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Signature Aviation. “We are thrilled to welcome more Airshare customers as guests throughout our network, and believe this partnership exemplifies how our world-class team and infrastructure can help reimagine and reinvent the travel experience.”
