NAPLES, FL, September 13, 2023– Naples Aviation, the sole fixed-base operator (FBO) at the Naples Airport, has attained one of the highest safety certifications in the aviation industry. The IS-BAH (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) Stage 1 certification from the International Business Aviation Council recognizes the safety and efficiency of airport ground services.
IS-BAH Stage 1 certification is an internationally recognized industry benchmark for safe operations and is the recognition of a sustained commitment to safety and operational excellence by the Naples Aviation team.
Naples Aviation provides aircraft services such as fueling, baggage handling, ramp parking, and customer service. In 2023, Naples Aviation was voted as the 13th best FBO, and 7th best independent FBO in the U.S. in a survey by Pro Pilot Magazine.
“The Naples Aviation team is proud of our proven track record of safety,” said Byron Gray, Director of FBO Services for the Naples Airport Authority. “This certification exemplifies the tireless commitment to safety and operational excellence that the entire Naples Aviation team exhibits every day.”
Naples Aviation is one of only 54 IS-BAH certified FBO’s out of over 3,000 in the United States. IS-BAH Stage 2 certification is possible 24 months after attaining Stage 1 certification. Additional information about IS-BAH certification is available here.
“IS-BAH certification proves what Naples Airport tenants and users already knew, that Naples Aviation is one of the safest FBO’s in the world.” explained Naples Airport tenant Joan Zaleski. “Having flown out of the Naples Airport for 6 years, the Naples Aviation staff’s commitment to safety is obvious and this recognition is well deserved."
