Fresno, CA - The popular food truck trend has cruised into Fresno Yosemite International Airport with the arrival of “Runway Tacos” food truck. Commissioned and operated by global restaurateur HMSHost, the customized truck with its unique colorful design and tasty tacos and burritos on wheels is one of two in the U.S. and the first to debut at a West Coast airport.
Inspired by the celebrated tradition of street food carts, HMSHost created a fun taco themed menu exclusively for the “Runway Tacos” truck. Menu options include: street style tacos with a choice of beef barbacoa, carnitas or chicken topped with Pico de Gallo and queso fresco served á la carte or with a side of beans and rice; a beef barbacoa, carnitas or chicken burrito wrapped with beans and rice; and a signature southwest chipotle chicken salad.
“The launch of “Runway Tacos” is in response to ongoing requests for more quick and easy food options for passengers traveling through our airport,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “HMSHost stepped up with the “Runway Tacos” concept as a unique and convenient way to serve tasty tacos and burritos with all the fixings. HMSHost is an exceptional partner committed to enhancing the airport experience of our travelers.”
“Taco trucks are a big part of the social scene in downtown Fresno and with the new “Runway Tacos” mobile cart cruising through the airport, the same exciting dining atmosphere can now be enjoyed by Fresno Yosemite Airport travelers. We at HMSHost are committed to providing excellent guest experiences and are truly excited to be partnering with the Airport on this new dining choice,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Michael Price.
“Runway Tacos” will stage at various locations to accommodate peak flight times at the airport.

2022 Charlotte Douglas International Airport Report of Achievement
Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
