Meet this year’s featured artists at the exhibit launch celebration Feb. 3
Fort McMurray, AB – Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) is pleased to announce the selected artists for the 2026 YMM Digital Art Exhibit and invites the community to join Team YMM for the exhibit launch on Feb. 3. This free public event is an opportunity to celebrate local creativity in a welcoming setting.
Returning in 2026, the YMM Digital Art Exhibit features a fresh theme, Viewpoints: Stories Seen and Unseen. The work of Alexandra Kavanagh, Carmen Wells and Crystal Lee Clark will be showcased on the digital screens throughout the terminal and featured on the airport website and social media channels over the coming year.
Each artist brings a distinct perspective shaped by place, memory and movement. Together, their work invites viewers to pause, look a little closer and reflect on the stories that often go unnoticed in the spaces we move through every day.
“YMM is often the first and last impression of our region,” said Denean Robinson, President and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority. “By showcasing local artists in our terminal, we are sharing the creativity and perspectives that define Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo while creating a more welcoming and engaging experience for travellers and visitors to enjoy.”
The public is warmly invited to attend the YMM Digital Art Exhibit launch event. Guests will hear directly from the featured artists as they share their creative journeys, the inspiration behind their work and the ideas shaping this year’s exhibit. The evening is designed to be relaxed, social and celebratory, bringing art and community together in a unique space.
