The new issue you’re holding in your hands, or looking at on your screen, is our last edition of 2024. It’s been a good year. No, it’s been a great year for most of us in the airport industry.
The airfield is a crucial element at any airport. While it doesn’t typically receive the same public attention as a terminal, parking or even concessions, it’s the single most important piece of a complex puzzle. After all, there is no airport without a runway.
No need to remind me that our jobs are never totally finished. There are always more safety improvements to initiate, capacity-increasing projects to execute and restrooms to modernize. I get it, our jobs demand it.
The great thing is that you can determine your airport?s claim to fame.
As an industry, we have projects ready to keep pace with increased demand and the cash to pay for them. So, what could go wrong?
Times are good. We need to prepare for future growth.
