ACC Celebrates Staff Milestones

Feb 10, 2025 | News

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce that Sylvia Palmer, Grace Healey, and Micah Dupie have each reached a 5-year milestone with the organization, and celebrate their many contributions to the membership and industry. ACC is also pleased to announce that Sylvia Palmer’s title has changed to Executive Vice President, reflecting the indelible imprint she has had in helping to shape and operationalize ACC’s strategic direction and the overall organization.

ACC President T.J. Schulz said, “It’s hard to believe that Sylvia, Grace and Micah started 5 years ago, right at the time that a global pandemic would forever change our industry and the way we work. Each has brought their passion, talents, and curiosity for professional development to their respective positions, making ACC a better organization to serve the membership and industry. Plus, they are simply fantastic individuals that are great to be and work with. We are extremely lucky to have them as part of the ACC team.”

Under the leadership of Sylvia Palmer, ACC has realized a 40 percent growth in revenue from the ACC/AAAE Airport Planning Design & Construction Symposium; the creation of new Corporate Sponsorship Packages (CSPs) for members; enhanced, strategic engagements with the Federal Aviation Administration; and most importantly a dedication to developing and fostering opportunities and professional growth for staff. Palmer was recognized for her impact on ACC when she received the 2024 ACC Board Chair Award at last year’s ACC Annual Conference.

Grace Healey elevated to the position of Manager of Marketing & Communications over her past 5 years with ACC. She has consistently sought out professional development opportunities and certifications to enable her to effectively update ACC’s communications platforms and practices. At the same time, Grace has played a critical role in managing ACC’s Young Professionals programs, which has offered hundreds of individuals the opportunity to step into the airport development network and gain leadership opportunities.

Micah Dupie started with ACC as Training and Accreditation Assistant, where she excelled at organizing and eventually managing ACC’s on-line training events. Following her passion in event planning, Micah eventually elevated to ACC’s Manager of Events, where she embarked on a certification program and used her talents to greatly enhance the ACC Annual Conference with grace and a smile.

Finally, ACC bids farewell to Senior Director of Training & Accreditation Lisa Deyo. We appreciate Lisa’s contributions to ACC, and wish her the best. Please send any questions about training to info@acconline.org. We will be reaching out to all our CSP sponsors and Unlimited bundle holders to update you about exciting training opportunities coming up in the future.
