Chicago (Nov. 23, 2021) – AGATI Furniture, a premiere furniture manufacturer which provides seating and furniture solutions for airports, has recently completed a major installation at Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) in Oklahoma City as part of the airport’s $90 million terminal update.

“Furniture matters in a high-traffic space,” says Joseph Agati, Director of Design/COO. “It is a major part of a traveler’s overall experience. So, when it comes to airport furniture, each piece needs to be just as resilient on the thousandth use as it was on the first.”

Furniture solutions included in the install were AGATI’s Gee Lounge Collection, the Power Bar Charging Table and the Metal-Base Table.

Prior to this project, the OKC primarily had beam seating, a traditional solution that holds value but doesn’t allow a lot of flexibility for the wide variety of airport needs, says Agati. A primary goal of this project was to provide unique solutions that not only focused on functionality and durability, but also provided comfort for the wide range of passengers traveling through the space.

“When our team at Agati designs a space, we love to collaborate with stakeholders and construction partners to arrive at the best solution to solve unique problems. The best ideas usually come from a partnership like this,” says Agati. “The project at Will Rogers was no different. I’m eager for travelers to be able to experience this.”

The lounge collection offers modular furniture that can be arranged in endless solutions to accommodate an individual passenger or a group and offer power and charging; the charging tables have a clean design that conceals cables; and the base tables come in a variety of sizes and heights.
