“On Thursday, November 6 at approximately 4:45 p.m. ET, Runway 17R/35L, or the West Runway, at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) returned to service following an aircraft incident earlier in the week. With this, all three runways at SDF are now available for use and the airfield is fully operational to
aircraft. The SDF team continues to keep the victims, their families and our community in our hearts following this tragic incident. I sincerely appreciate the SDF Public Safety Department for their quick response as the first units to the scene as well as the actions of so many mutual aid agencies from the city and across the state
during this time
