COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The commercial airlines operating at the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) reported an increase in passenger traffic in August 2025, with 230,053 travelers passing through the terminal, a 4.0 percent increase compared to August 2024. Enplanements rose 4.6 percent year-over-year, while seat availability grew by 8.6 percent.
Although the overall load factor was 79.9 percent, down 3.1 percentage points from the same month last year, both Delta Air Lines and United Airlines recorded double-digit growth in enplanements. This corresponds with each carrier’s significant increase in seat capacity, underscoring their continued investment in the Colorado Springs market. Southwest reported less passengers and a slight increase in available seats for August.
COS remains focused on strategic, long-term growth through expanded air service offerings and airline partnerships, positioning the airport as a key travel hub for the Pikes Peak region.
