AUSTIN, TEXAS – 2025 marked another exciting year for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). The airport continued its mission to connect travelers to the world while embracing growth, innovation, and a vibrant spirit reflective of Austin and Central Texas. With a total of 21,666,852 departing and arriving passengers passing through our doors, AUS proudly reinforced its role as a gateway for Central Texas and beyond.
2025’s passenger totals now mark the third-busiest year on record for the airport.
AUS celebrated the addition of four new nonstop destinations, including:

In 2025, AUS concessions gave passengers a true taste of Austin. Travelers enjoyed 1,754,212 tacos and 94,249 pounds of Salt Lick BBQ brisket, making every layover a little more delicious.
Across the terminal, Hippies & Hops, The Saxon Pub, The Salt Lick BBQ, and other favorites served 68,113 glasses of wine, while The Beerdrop alone poured 26,585 beersand 9,111 glasses of wine.
Local juice spots kept things fresh. JuiceLand blended 216,903 smoothies and 10,641 juices, Jugo added 52,162 smoothies and 20,500 juices, and Berry Austin topped it off with 32,146 acai bowls.
At 24 Diner, comfort food reigned supreme. The team cracked 86,273 eggs, flipped 26,294 burgers, and poured 27,835 beers for hungry travelers.
Austin pride traveled far and wide in 2025. 17,411 units of Keep Austin Weird merchandise found new homes around the world. Passengers also purchased 6,614 bottles of Music Water, supporting local artists with every sip, and picked up 6,573 guitar picks along the way.
Music was everywhere. In 2025, AUS fully embraced its role as the Live Music Capital of the World, delivering 1,087 live performances and showcasing more than 2,200 bands and musicians throughout the terminal.
2025 was also a milestone year for our expansion program, Journey With AUS. If you traveled through AUS last year, you likely saw exciting improvements taking shape. From breaking ground on our new Yellow Garage with 7,000 spaces opening in two phases, to expanding security screening and airline ticket counter queuing with the start of construction on the Atrium Infill project, progress was visible across the airport. Work also advanced to streamline international arrivals through the International Arrivals Improvements project completition, while baggage reliability received a major boost with the completion of the new Outbound Baggage Handling System project.
The Journey with AUS expansion program represents an estimated $5 billion investmentin modernizing and expanding our airport, building a better experience for every passenger who passes through AUS.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for December 2025 was 1,888,492, up 3.41% compared to December 2024. December 2025 enplanements totaled 960,181, up 3.64%.
Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 799,585, up 2.5%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 324,766, up 13.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 288,538, down 11%; United Airlines passengers totaled 223,736, up 2.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 63,190, up 1.3%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 49,457, up 69.6%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 36,710, up 18%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 22,556, up 179.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 18,559, down 11.3%; British Airways passengers totaled 17,916, down 5.4%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 9,947, up 8.9%; Air Canada passengers totaled 8,234, up 11.4%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 6,759, down 1.5%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 6,477, up 12.8%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,399, down 2.4%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 5,546, up 59%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 72, down 77.5%; and Titan Airways passengers totaled 45.
December 2025 air cargo totaled 22,280,930 lbs., down 9.69% compared to December 2024.
International air cargo totaled 1,969,762 lbs., up 6.89%.
Air Transport International carried 8,737,529 lbs., down 3.1%; United Parcel Servicescarried 4,149,442 lbs., up 9.1%; Federal Express carried 3,798,609 lbs., down 4.6%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 1,245,951 lbs., down 22.1%.
Air Services transferred 49,660 lbs. of mail; and 2,708,525 lbs. of belly freight, down 17.38%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,375, up 3.65%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 22,416, up 9.72%.

Air Transport International carried 107,449,75 lbs., up 8.2%; Federal Expresscarried 46,822,689 lbs., down 35.1%; United Parcel Services carried 32,305,135 lbs., up 4.1%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 25,155,970 lbs., up 28.1%.
Air Services transferred 93,296 lbs. of mail, down 83.58%; and 36,874,593 lbs. of belly freight, down 10.67%.
