Servicing North America and USDOD Aviation Accounts

Tilton, New Hampshire USA – August 21, 2020 – Laurie Forand has been named Business Development Manager/Airfield Lighting for North American markets and USDOD/government accounts.

In her new role, Ms. Forand will develop new business for the company’s airfield ground and approach lighting products, and manage United States Department of Defense (USDOD) projects.

Laurie joins Avlite with a successful background in project and sales management, as well as an impressive career in the US Army as an Army Aviation Officer. Holding the rank of Major, she was an Operations Officer and C-12 (King Air) pilot for the US Army Operational Support Airlift Activity in Washington, DC. Ms. Forand served as a Blackhawk pilot in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).  She is a rated helicopter and fixed-wing pilot and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve.   

Ms. Forand will report to Avlite’s Sales Manager for the Americas, Jason Larrere. “Laurie’s background in sales, project management, and aviation will provide Avlite customers with a keen understanding of their needs and challenges. I know she will drive a successful airfield lighting sales program for Avlite in the North American and USDOD areas.”

Ms. Forand holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida and Lean Six Sigma/Yellow Belt Certification.

She and her family have relocated to central New Hampshire, United States, the site of Avlite’s headquarters for the Americas.
