Avports Was Selected as a P3 Partner to Redevelop Two Airports in the U.S. Virgin Islands

Dulles, Virginia – March 27, 2024: Avports, LLC announced today its participation as a member of VIports Partners, an Aecon-led consortium, to redevelop the Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas and the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix.

Selected by the U.S. Virgin Island Port Authority (VIPA) in response to its Airports P3 Request for Proposal, VIPorts Partners was unanimously recommended. The partners will redevelop both terminals with modern airport amenities, including additional passenger boarding and bridges.

Steven Nackan, Executive Vice President, and President of Aecon Concessions, stated that this is a historic project for the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI), delivering critical infrastructure while prioritizing local economic, social, and community benefits.
