MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (February 24, 2026) – Breeze Airways, the premium leisure carrier providing affordable, direct flights from underserved markets, today announced two new destinations from Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), including nonstop flights to Pittsburgh, Pa., and one stop, no change of plane BreezeThru service to Portland, Maine. The airline is also expanding existing services from MYR to Akron-Canton, Ohio, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Long Island, N.Y.
“Myrtle Beach continues to grow, and with an influx of people moving to the region there is a demand for more travel,” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. “We’re happy to be adding more routes, allowing travelers in the region more affordable and convenient options.”
Beginning today, Myrtle Beach travelers can book flights on Breeze to:
- Akron-Canton, Ohio, (existing route increasing to daily beginning July 1);
- Fort Lauderdale, Fla., (existing route increasing to six times weekly beginning July 1);
- New York/Islip, N.Y., (existing route increasing to four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays beginning July 1);
- Pittsburgh, Pa. (nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting July 3, from $39* one way); and
- Portland, Maine (one-stop, no-change-of-plane BreezeThru service starting July 2).
“We’re thrilled to see Breeze Airways continue its strong investment in the Myrtle Beach market with new nonstop service to Pittsburgh and a same-plane BreezeThru flight to Portland beginning July 2 and 3,” said Judi Olmstead, Director of Airports at MYR. “Pittsburgh is one of our most popular markets, and this new nonstop will be a welcome addition for both residents and visitors. Portland becomes the farthest northeast destination served from Myrtle Beach, opening the door to even greater connectivity to Maine and New England. With these additions and expanded service across its 13 existing markets, Breeze’s growth underscores its confidence in our community and its commitment to providing convenient, affordable travel options for our residents and travelers.”
