DELTA EXPANDS MKE PRESENCE WITH NEW NONSTOP TO SEATTLE

New service gives MKE travelers easy connections to Alaska and Asia

MILWAUKEE (November 4, 2016) – Delta Air Lines will launch a new daily nonstop flight between Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport beginning March 9, 2017.

The new flight will depart Milwaukee at 7:55 a.m. and arrive in Seattle at 10:25 a.m., while the return flight will depart Seattle at 5:05 p.m. and arrive in Milwaukee at 10:55 p.m. Flights will be operated with a 76-seat wifi-equipped Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft featuring First Class, Delta Comfort, and Main Cabin seating. Delta SkyClub members and other eligible travelers can also access the Delta SkyClub on Concourse D.

“This new service to Delta’s Seattle hub will give our travelers even more ways to travel to the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and beyond,” County Executive Chris Abele said. “The new route also gives MKE travelers access to Delta’s international network from Seattle, including easy connections to Japan, China, and South Korea.”

Delta, the second largest carrier at MKE, also has nonstop service from Milwaukee to Atlanta, Boston, Cancun, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York LaGuardia, and Orlando. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, November 5 at www.delta.com.

General Mitchell International Airport is owned by Milwaukee County and operated by the Department of Transportation, Airport Division, under the policy direction of the Milwaukee County Executive and the County Board of Supervisors. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the airport’s capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.
