DFW Installs Additional SmartPack Trash Compactors in Terminals With Insite Technology

Sep 12, 2022 | News

Harmony, MN – Harmony Enterprises announced today that it completed installing four additional SmartPack Automatic Trash Compactors in two different terminals at DFW, allowing the Texas airport to continue to handle 10x more waste than normal garbage containers while saving on hauling costs, labor, and trash can liners.

This brings the innovative airport’s SmartPack fleet in use to 10 compactors, placed strategically throughout the terminal to compact waste at its source, while improving the traveler experience.

SmartPacks are equipped with Insite Tehcnology, a wireless text/email system, which alerts staff when a compactor is partially full, full, or requires attention. This allows staff to manage trash on a “just-in-time” basis, freeing them up for other, more important duties”, according to National Sales Manager, Nick Roberts.

“Harmony’s SmartPacks are quickly becoming the sustainable choice for airports across the U.S.”, said Roberts.  “Their industry leading 11:1 compaction ratio, no-touch automatic door, 4 Color LED light, and customizable cabinets make them the ideal solution to save up to 70% on trash related costs and accessories.  The added benefit comes with the improved customer experience and longevity of the machines.”

The cost of the purchase is surpassed by an ROI of less than 2 years.  Harmony also offers special lease promotions for SmartPacks.
