Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for “Electroluminescent Lighting Technology
for Use on Airport Vehicle Numbers”. The technical report is available on their
website www.FAA.gov. AirEL provides airports with enhanced illuminated vehicle
identification at night for landside and airside operations and allows air traffic
controllers the ability to identify vehicles night and day. “This technology provides
necessary enhanced airport operations visibility for snow machines, de-icing trucks,
