MINNEAPOLIS, 1/28/2025 — GateKeeper Systems Inc., a leader in commercial vehicle management, airfield inspection, and transportation network company management systems for airports, today announced the successful implementation of their automated eDispatch system with virtual taxi queue at the Portland International Airport (PDX).
Following the successful use of GateKeeper CVMS by PDX for the last ten years, GateKeeper eDispatch represents a powerful addition to their existing automatic dispatch system. By utilizing the eDispatch “virtual queue”, taxi drivers can enter the dispatch queue via a GateKeeper website, eliminating the need for drivers to come to the airport to wait for their fare. Drivers are then automatically dispatched as needed from the virtual queue to a small staging area at the airport, to ensure enough taxis are always on hand to meet passenger demand, before being automatically dispatched to curbside for passenger pickup.
