GRAND JUNCTION, CO.—The Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority is pleased to announce the completion of terminal safety and security projects proudly funded by a grant from the Mesa County Federal Mineral Lease District (MCFMLD). With their generosity, the airport was able to install bollards in front of the airport terminal as well as safety and security cameras across the terminal and boarding areas. This allows the airport to deviate any potential security threats and to stay ahead of the security dangers that effect all commercial airports.

The Mesa County Federal Mineral Lease District, established on June 20, 2011 by the Mesa County Board of County Commissioners through Resolution MCM 2011-050, serves a mission to enhance positive social and economic impact in Mesa County from the development, processing and energy conversion of fuels and minerals leased under the Federal “Mineral Lands Leasing Act” through strategic grants, partnerships and leadership. Over the past several years, the MCFMLD has awarded the Grand Junction Regional Airport several grants to help serve Mesa County and the surrounding areas. The Grand Junction Regional Airport looks forward to the continued success and partnership with the MCFMLD. For more information on the MCFMLD, please visit www.mesafml.org.
