FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 29, 2025
(Green Bay, Wis.) NFL Draft, here we come! Make the most out of your trip to the 2025 NFL Draft by choosing the convenience and reliability offered at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB), your Gateway to Lambeau Field. By flying GRB, you can witness iconic football history from the moment you touch down in the home city of the Green Bay Packers, a/k/a Titletown USA.
Both United Airlines and American Airlines have added two additional flights to/from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), operating on April 23 and 27. American Airlines has also announced two non-stop flights from LaGuardia Airport (LGA), on April 23 and 27. These flights are in addition to nonstop flights previously announced on Delta Air Lines to and from Los Angeles (LAX), Salt Lake City (SLC), Orlando (MCO), LaGuardia (LGA), Atlanta (ATL), Minneapolis (MSP), and Detroit (DTW).
“We know the increase in passenger traffic that will happen during the weeks surrounding the draft and we are ready,” said Marty Piette, Airport Director. “We really appreciate the great partnership we have with our airlines, and these additional flights allow travelers greater flexibility and the convenience of flying directly to Green Bay.”
Additionally, GRB’s low-fare carriers, Frontier Airlines and Sun Country Airlines, are both bringing back non-stop flights to popular southern and western destinations during 2025. Sun Country Airlines will resume its non-stop service to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers starting on January 30, 2025, with flights on Sundays and Tuesdays. In May, Frontier Airlines will resume its non-stop service to Denver International Airport (DEN). These Monday and Friday flights are available for booking now. United Airlines will also be increasing its daily frequency to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to six flights per day, allowing more availability to travelers.
“GRB and our community are always excited to welcome travelers from Northeast Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and beyond,” says County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “The convenience and access that you find at our airport drive a truly positive experience for all passengers.”
GRB encourages travelers to keep checking airline’s websites for new routes and dates for both the upcoming NFL Draft and other destinations.
