Greg Wellman Joins TranSystems as Market Sector Leader for Airports and Air Carriers Sector

Chicago – December 1, 2016 – Greg Wellman has been named Vice President and Market Sector Leader for the Airports and Air Carriers Sector of TranSystems Corp., a consulting firm that provides engineering and architecture solutions to the transportation marketplace. He has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design and management of a wide variety of aviation projects and programs across the country.

In this role, Wellman will be responsible for growing the practice serving airport authorities, air carriers, and airport partners, providing strategic direction and overseeing sales, serving as a national leader.

“Greg brings significant strengths to this role, adding breadth to our aviation service base,” said Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer John Grow. “His successful working relationships with many industry executives on some of the largest airport programs in the country will surely help TranSystems expand our practice and deepen our client relationships.”

Prior to joining TranSystems, Wellman served as Program Manager for the $5B LAX Landside Access Modernization Program. He has served leadership roles on major projects at many airports across the country, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami and Boston.

Wellman holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in aviation management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is active with the Airport Cooperative Research Program.
