(Green Bay, Wis.) Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) is teaming up with Pilotsmith to invite families and aviation enthusiasts of all ages to “Halloween in the Hangar: Wings for Treats” on Tuesday, October 28. The event will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Pilotsmith Hangar at 1911 Airport Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Parking and admission are free.

This free, family-friendly event offers trick-or-treating, hands-on activities, aircraft displays and airport equipment exhibits. Participants ages 10 and up can also test their flying skills in a Redbird flight simulator.

“Our airport is more than a place to catch flights; it’s a space for exploring, learning and bringing the community together,” said GRB Airport Director Marty Piette. “Events like Halloween in the Hangar let families experience the excitement of aviation up close while enjoying a safe and festive evening.”

“Our mission is to make flying approachable for everyone,” said Pilotsmith CEO Charlie Smith. “Introducing kids to aviation at a young age sparks curiosity, confidence and even future careers in flight.”

The event highlights the growing partnership between GRB and Pilotsmith, which continues to strengthen the region’s aviation training opportunities.

“Pilotsmith’s growth over the past decade has been impressive,” said Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “Their collaboration with GRB represents exactly the kind of regional development we want to see—creating pathways in aviation education while strengthening our local economy.”

In addition to Pilotsmith, the event is supported by airport partners including Pro-Tec Fire Services, Tailwind Hospitality, Jet Air Group, American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines.
