Vanmac Group, the parent company of the well-known TRILO brand, launched at the recent Munich Inter Airport Europe a new hi-volume cut and collect mower especially designed for heavy-duty airport mowing. This TRILO C30W wide area Cut & Collect mower can easily mow 11 hectares per hour. It cuts the grass and collects grass clippings in one pass, thus ensuring effective airside habitat management and reducing the risk of bird and wildlife strikes.
Unique in its kind
The C30W is unique for several reasons. First of all because of its large loading volume of 30 m2. The machine can continue mowing and collecting grass clippings for a long period of time. This results in fewer unloading trips. Of course, the fact that 2 functions are combined – cutting AND collecting in one pass – also saves a lot of time and fuel. And what about the large working width of no less than 6,9 meters. These wide mowing wings are carefully designed to perfectly follow the ground contours, with a superb and even cut of the area. Furthermore, the machine does not only collect grass clippings. Due to its specially shaped air inlet and the powerful fan, FOD and waste blown on the grass areas at airports are removed and collected at the same time. So there is less need for arranging FOD walks.
