The hotel will be the first extended-stay property located on the DFW Airport campus
DALLAS/FORT WORTH (Nov. 12, 2025) — On Monday, Nov. 10, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Woodbine Development Corporation, Muckleroy & Falls and Merriman Anderson Architects celebrated the groundbreaking of Hyatt House DFW. The ceremonial event was hosted on the construction site for the forthcoming extended-stay hotel, located at the Southgate entrance of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport campus. The hotel is expected to open in Summer 2027.
“We’re honored to strengthen our relationship with DFW and provide lodging options for a variety of stay occasions,” said Jim Tierney, head of development, classics and essentials portfolio, US East, Hyatt. “Hyatt House DFW will mark the first extended-stay property on DFW’s airport campus and join nearby Hyatt hotels including Grand Hyatt DFW, Hyatt Place DFW and Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport. We look forward to offering residential-style accommodations for both short- and long-term stays, whether traveling for business or leisure.”
Hyatt House DFW will introduce the brand’s spacious and updated guestroom design—including residential-inspired amenities for guests to enjoy the comforts of home—to the Dallas Fort Worth market. The hotel will feature130 residential-style suites—accommodations that offer optimal flexibility for both extended-stay and transient guests. Key features planned for Hyatt House DFW include:
- Spacious suites with full kitchens and separate living areas
- H Bar, offering craft cocktails and small plates
- Complimentary Morning Breakfast Mix with freshly prepared hot breakfast served daily for guests
- Flexible workspaces and vibrant communal areas featuring regionally inspired artwork
- 24/7 Fitness Room and Outdoor Hubs
- 4,750 square feet of meeting space
- 2,900 square feet of patio space
- Pet-friendly accommodations and on-site Guest Laundry
DFW International Airport, Hyatt and Woodbine have a multi-decade collaboration of hotel development and asset management, and the forthcoming Hyatt House DFW expands the list of Hyatt-branded properties on the airport campus. The hotel will sit adjacent to Hyatt Place DFW and join other on-campus Hyatt hotels including Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport and Grand Hyatt DFW.
DFW Airport is the hotel’s owner, Woodbine is the developer, Muckleroy & Falls is the contractor, Merriman is the architect, and Hyatt will be the operator.
“As DFW Airport anticipates serving more than 100 million passengers annually by the end of the decade, we are committed to providing travelers with a variety of options and services that cater to the growing needs of the North Texas region,” said Mohamed Charkas, DFW’s chief development and infrastructure officer. “Hyatt House DFW will expand the suite of hotel services available on airport property and provide additional options for customers.”
“Woodbine is proud to build on our longstanding partnership with DFW Airport to bring the Hyatt House brand to the airport campus,” said King Scovell, managing partner and chief development officer of Woodbine. “This new property will enhance lodging choices near the terminals and offer amenities valued by the growing number of extended-stay and transient segments.”
Taylor Hale, president of Muckleroy & Falls, added, “At Muckleroy & Falls, we take pride in being part of projects that turn vision into reality. DFW Airport continues to drive growth and opportunity across North Texas and beyond, and we are honored to help bring this project to life alongside trusted partners like Woodbine, Hyatt and Merriman Anderson Architects. Together, we are creating a space that blends thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and the premium experience travelers have come to expect from this world-class destination.”
