The Innovative Software Company Becomes the First to Provide a Turnkey Intelligent Restroom Solution That Improves Airport Operations

ATLANTA (November 16, 2016) – American software company Infax, Inc. announced a new intelligent restroom solution at the Airport Consultants Council’s 38th Annual Conference and Exposition Nov. 13, 2016.

The Infax Smart Restroom solution turns airport restrooms into intelligent data-collecting environments that improve airport operations and the overall passenger experience. Using a variety of technologies, including sensors from the Infax TRAX® solution, Smart Restroom can count passenger throughput, automatically send cleaning alerts to janitorial staff, and provide dashboard analytics with “last cleaned” data.

Infax is the first company to offer a turnkey intelligent restroom solution that combines data from both passenger participation and passive restroom monitoring.

“After much research and client feedback, we discovered that there is a great need for intelligent restrooms in the aviation industry,” said Tracy Davis, Infax’s director of business development. “Social media and other online platforms used to voice opinions have made it crucial for airports to take preventative measures to stop problems before they start.”

Infax is partnering with several companies to create a full intelligent restroom experience. Smart Locks in each stall feed occupancy data to a digital sign that displays how many stalls are vacant. In addition, lights above each stall change color once the door is locked to indicate that the stall is occupied, taking the guesswork out of public restrooms.

Infax is also partnering with a tablet manufacturer to create custom restroom surveys for airports. After exiting the restroom, passengers can take the survey to send instant feedback to the airport about the state of the restroom.
