James Lugaila Joins TranSystems as Senior Architect for the Airports and Air Carriers Sector

Santa Ana – Aug. 1, 2017 – James Lugaila, AIA has been named Senior Architect for the Airports and Air Carriers Sector of TranSystems Corp., a consulting firm that provides engineering and architecture solutions to the transportation marketplace. Lugaila has more than 13 years of architectural experience, ten of which have focused on the aviation sector, with the last five years spent working on projects at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). 

In this role, Lugaila will be responsible for fostering TranSystems’ aviation growth in the Southern California market by utilizing his extensive experience at LAX working for both airlines and the City of Los Angeles. He will also be responsible for promoting regional sustainability goals with fast-track permitting strategies.

“James brings significant strengths to this role, adding breadth to our aviation service base,” said Airports and Air Carriers Market Sector Leader, Greg Wellman. “His successful work at LAX and other major airports will surely help TranSystems expand our practice and deepen our client relationships.”

Prior to joining TranSystems, Lugaila served as Project Manager for LAX Midfield Satellite Concourse North program and Delta Air Lines Terminal 5 Landside Redevelopment. In addition to his experience with LAX, Lugaila has also worked on projects for John Wayne Airport Orange County and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.      

Lugaila is a registered Architect in California and Texas. He holds both a Masters and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Catholic University of America.
