Flights begin on December 10th—just in time for the holidays
July 29, 2025 – Breeze Airways is adding a new destination to its fast-growing network—this time from the heart of the Cornhusker State to the heart of the Sunshine State. The low-cost carrier will begin scheduled nonstop service from Lincoln Airport (LNK) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) on December 10, 2025. The new route marks Breeze’s entry into Nebraska, making LNK the 77th market served by the airline—and the only airport in the state with Breeze service. Fares begin at $79 one way*.
“Breeze has built a reputation for connecting underserved markets with affordable, high-quality service, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Lincoln,” said David Haring, Executive Director of the Lincoln Airport Authority. “Orlando is one of the most in-demand destinations for families and vacationers in the Midwest, and this route provides a convenient, nonstop option that travelers will love.”
With Nebraska now Breeze’s 35th state served, this new addition strengthens the airline’s position as the fastest-growing carrier in the United States. Breeze increased its capacity by 47% in 2025 compared to the prior year, adding more than 19,000 flights—far outpacing the 1% growth rate of U.S. passenger carriers overall.
“Securing this new service is a huge win for the airport and the entire community,” said Vanessa Emlich, Lincoln Airport Authority Board Member and Chair of the Air Service Committee. “Leisure routes like this don’t just serve vacationers—they drive airport revenue, support jobs, and help position our community as a connected, competitive place to live and do business. It also signals to the airline industry that LNK is growing and open for business.”
Incentivizing new air service is a key part of LNK’s strategic growth plan. To support the success of Breeze’s service and encourage long-term investment in the market, the airport is offering a structured Minimum Revenue Guarantee (MRG) program. The MRG will provide Breeze with a maximum of $3.75 million across all new air service markets over a four-year period, with monthly and annual revenue caps. This structured commitment was designed to incentivize Breeze to expand its LNK network beyond its initial Orlando launch, which is consistent with how Breeze has grown the markets it has entered.
“This is a smart investment in connectivity,” said Rachel Barth, Director of Air Service Development and Strategic Marketing for LNK. “Minimum revenue guarantees like this are industry standard and have helped airports across the country attract and retain successful new service. Plus, Breeze Airlines is no stranger to Lincoln; they frequently fly our Husker sports charters. Very common for me to look out the window and see our Nebraska Volleyball team or one of the basketball teams loading up on their beautiful A220.”
Breeze continues to boast one of the highest market retention rates in the industry, still serving 93% of the cities it has launched since it began flying in 2021. The airline also operates one of the youngest and most efficient fleets in the nation, with an average aircraft age of six years.
“Breeze is excited to add the Cornhusker State to our growing nationwide network,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “We’re confident travelers in Lincoln will love this nonstop service to sunny Orlando and look forward to introducing them to Breeze this winter.”
Breeze was recently named one of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025 for its fresh take on affordable flying that is transforming low-cost air travel into a nice experience. It was also named the No. 3 Best Domestic Airline by Travel + Leisure in 2025, placing Breeze in the list’s top four every year since it began flying.
The airline’s flexible network conveniently connects travelers in underserved cities directly to desirable destinations nationwide, reducing unnecessary travel time and making air travel more accessible to millions of travelers coast to coast. Coupled with its brand-new fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft and premium products like free family seating, fast onboard WiFi, preferred seat options, and no change or cancel fees, Breeze is making it nice to fly affordably.
Lincoln Airport is the official airport of Husker Athletics and a gateway to the capital region. With this new nonstop service to Orlando, LNK continues to deliver on its promise to make air travel more accessible, competitive, and convenient for Nebraskans.
