Alexandria, VA – The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce the election of Mary Ellen Eagan, President and CEO of HMMH, as chair of the 2018 ACC Board of Directors. Eagan assumed the position at the ACC membership meeting on Tuesday, November 07, 2017 during the 39th ACC Annual Conference and Exposition in San Diego, California.

As President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of HMMH, Eagan is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company and management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies. She became HMMH’s third president in July 2004 and was appointed CEO and chairman in 2012.  In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Eagan is principal-in-charge for some of HMMH’s most challenging projects.  This includes Part 150 Noise Studies for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and support to the Federal Interagency Committee on Aircraft Noise.

Eagan is very active in the aviation industry. While serving on the ACC board for six years and other leadership capacities within the organization, she was also Chair of the Transportation Research Board’s Aviation Group and involved with Airports Council International, serving as co-chair of the Noise Working Group and a business partner to the ACI World Environment Standing Committee. She holds a BS in Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Simmons College.

“It is an honor to serve as ACC’s Board Chair for 2018,” said Eagan. “ACC is unique in the industry as the only organization focused on the business of airport development. I am looking forward to bringing my perspective as a small firm owner to advancing ACC’s mission.”

“Mary Ellen is well respected by the airport development community and government officials, both as a technical expert and active leader within the industry,” said T.J. Schulz, President of ACC. “As ACC prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Mary Ellen’s role as an effective business executive and industry leader will benefit ACC as we explore the strategic direction of the organization in the future.”
