Feb 15, 2024 | News

Binghamton, NY – April 7, 2021 – McFarland Johnson (MJ), a 100% employee-owned planning, engineering, and construction services firm, is pleased to announce 75 years of amazing people, places & projects.

MJ was established from humble beginnings in the home of William McFarland in Binghamton, NY in 1946.  MJ has since  expanded to 16 offices that spread across the U.S. serving a vast variety of clients and communities. Throughout MJ’s history, there has been one thing that has remained the same. From private ownership to now an Employee-Owned firm, we have always been committed to the successful completion and innovation of every project and every client relationship.

“What began as a small consulting firm in NY now provides a full continuum of innovative solutions to clients throughout the Country.  We are extremely proud of the work that McFarland Johnson is doing today. Our dedication to excellence, coupled with our smart and passionate employees, serves as a strong foundation for our next 75 years.” said Chad Nixon, President and Chairman of the Board of McFarland Johnson.

A 75th anniversary is a significant milestone that few companies achieve.  This does not come by chance, but from challenging the process and procedures.  Every single project has the potential for innovation which creates opportunities for future projects and clients.  As a 100% Employee-Owned ESOP, the extra effort that gets poured into every project yields a result that is shared by all.  This promotes a culture of passion to go above and beyond the expected responsiveness and technical ability for each project.

MJ is using the last 75 years of experience to build our future.   We remain committed to building lasting relationships, serving our clients best interests, and continuing to innovate and learn, bringing our clients to grow alongside us.  As MJ celebrates the 75 years of our vision and mission throughout 2021, we will be sharing reflections, articles, insights, and glimpses over our history.  Please visit our 75th Anniversary dedicated web page at https://www.mjinc.com/mjweb/anniversary for more information on our rich history.
