The Miami Hurricanes recently touched down at Miami International Airport on January 9 to a heartfelt hometown welcome following their Fiesta Bowl victory in Glendale, Arizona, marking a proud moment for the entire Miami-Dade County community.

The team arrived to a water cannon salute from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and cheers from enthusiastic MIA fans. As the players stepped off the plane, MIA team members lined the arrival area, holding “1-0” signs, which energized the Canes and reminded them that all of Miami-Dade is behind them.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava personally greeted the team to celebrate their hard work, determination, and the pride they bring to the community.

Miami-Dade stands with the Canes – the heart and pride of our community. Welcome back to the 305! Miami-Dade couldn’t be prouder.
