Savvy, health-conscious travelers will enjoy fresh, wholesome food at their fingertips
MILWAUKEE (August 27, 2019) – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is pleased to announce new healthy, fresh food options available to travelers 24 hours a day. Farmer’s Fridge has opened two fresh-food vending machines inside the Airport.
Farmer’s Fridge makes all of its food fresh daily and restocks the fridges overnight. That means MKE travelers are now able to order fresh food items such as salads, sandwiches, wraps and granola from self-service vending machines any time. The meals and snacks are served in recyclable jars, and all food that isn’t purchased is donated to Milwaukee-area food pantries.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer travelers at MKE fresh, healthy, restaurant-quality food options 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at a similar price point as many fast food options,” said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. “This is another example of Milwaukee County and MKE’s commitment to exceeding travelers’ expectations.”
The two new Farmer’s Fridge self-service vending machines are located in the Concession Mall and in Concourse D adjacent to the Leinie Lodge.
