Delta, Frontier, and Allegiant headline November growth at Mitchell Airport

MILWAUKEE (January 10, 2018) – Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele today announced that air passenger traffic at General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) increased
7.4% in November, compared to November 2016.

Delta Air Lines and Frontier Airlines added the most passengers, and new service from
Allegiant helped propel the November growth.

“More travelers are getting the message that MKE is the most convenient airport in our region. With
more airlines, larger aircraft, a better airport experience, and more nonstop destinations,
there’s no better time than now to choose MKE,” County Executive Abele said. “The more we use
our hometown airport, the more new air service we will likely see from airlines in the future. My
message is to choose MKE and help support our local economy.”

MKE offers nonstop flights to 49 destinations coast-to-coast – many on full-size mainline aircraft – and
160 international destinations are available from Milwaukee with just one connection. MKE is served by
Air Canada, Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, OneJet, Southwest, United, and Volaris. The

General Mitchell International Airport is owned by Milwaukee County and operated by the Department
of Transportation, Airport Division, under the policy direction of the Milwaukee County Executive and
the County Board of Supervisors. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are
used for the airport’s capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.
