New Southwest Airlines’ nonstop will operate during Spring Break 2026

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 14, 2025) — Cabo, Mexico is now – for the first time ever — on Indy’s nonstop destination list for Spring Break 2026. Southwest Airlines will launch the first nonstop flight out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to San Jose del Cabo, via the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD).

This new nonstop will operate once per day on Saturdays starting March 5 and operating through April 6, 2026.

“Cabo is the latest win for Indy travelers—joining Punta Cana and Dublin as new international nonstop destinations,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “New flights like this open doors. Cabo becomes our second destination in Mexico, and every new route means more convenience, more opportunity, and more ways we’re delivering on what Hoosiers want most.”

Currently Southwest and American Airlines fly nonstop out of Indy to Cancun. Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop Cancun service in December 2025.

The Cabo nonstop flight also adds to the list of other new destinations announced or launched in 2025, such as Chicago Midway (MDW), Nashville (BNA) and Portland (PDX).

Southwest will serve 21 destinations nonstop from IND, its most ever, during Spring Break 2026. Currently, Southwest offers nonstop flights out of the Indy airport to Atlanta, Austin, Chicago (Midway), Nashville, Baltimore, Cancun, Dallas, Denver, Panama City, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Orlando, Miami, Phoenix, Fort Myers, San Diego, Sarasota, and Tampa.
