Palm Springs Lands More Year-Round Service as United Extends Los Angeles Flights Through Summer

Jan 30, 2026 | News

Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) announced today that United Airlines has expanded its Los Angeles (LAX) service from seasonal to year-round, marking another milestone in the airport’s continued expansion of air service beyond the winter travel months.

United will now offer daily nonstop flights between Palm Springs and Los Angeles throughout the year, with up to two daily flights during peak travel seasons and one daily flight during the summer months. The approximately one-hour flight provides travelers with a short hop to Los Angeles — and from there, to destinations around the world.

“This year-round service reflects the growing demand we’re seeing at PSP during all months of the year,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., Executive Director of Aviation. “Reliable, year-round connectivity to LAX strengthens our region’s access to global destinations while supporting continued growth for our community.”

“We’re excited to expand our seasonal service between Palm Springs and Los Angeles to year-round”, said Mark Weithofer, United’s Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning. “From trips with friends, traveling to see family and all the moments in between – this provides our travelers with greater flexibility and more convenient options that best suit their travel needs.”

Through United’s hub at Los Angeles International Airport, travelers departing from PSP can conveniently connect to more than two dozen destinations — including Hawaii, as well as international getaways across Asia, Mexico, and Canada, all with a single stop.

The expansion from seasonal to year-round service underscores airline confidence in Palm Springs as a consistent, all-season market and supports PSP’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity, expand nonstop options, and better serve residents and visitors year-round.
