A range of Amadeus’ integrated IT and distribution solutions will support Pan Am’s vision for a modern, seamless travel experience.

Pan American World Airways® and transformative technology provider Amadeus have signed a Letter of Agreement (LOA) to support the return of the iconic Pan American World Airways® (Pan Am®) to scheduled service. The renewed Pan Am® has selected Amadeus as its strategic technology partner to power the airline’s comeback and support its vision for modern, customer-centric air travel. With Amadeus’ integrated IT solutions, Pan Am® will be equipped to deliver a premium retail experience, while ensuring reliable, efficient operations for its customers.

The carrier is scheduling its return to the skies and working on the official launch of Pan Am®, subject to all U.S. FAA and DOT certifications and approvals. Amadeus will serve as the backbone of its core passenger and operational capabilities – supporting everything from seamless booking and inventory management to day-of-travel services.

Pan Am® has also selected Amadeus as its distribution partner and will leverage both NDC and traditional sourcing technologies to maximize visibility and reach across global sales channels.

Pan Am® is widely regarded as the airline that defined the golden age of jet travel, reaching its peak in the 1960s as the world’s most prestigious international carrier. Synonymous with white-glove service and jet-set style aboard the Boeing 707 and 747, the brand transformed flying into a symbol of modern luxury and global connectivity.

Ed Wegel, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Pan American World Airways®, says: “Pan Am® is more than a brand – it is the most iconic name in commercial aviation history, and its return must be powered by best-in-class technology. Partnering with Amadeus provides a world-class foundation to build a modern, competitive, customer-focused airline that honors Pan Am’s legacy while delivering the innovation and reliability today’s travelers expect.”

Kamal Singhee, SVP, Airlines, North Americas,  Amadeus, adds: “We are honored that the legendary Pan Am® brand is set to return to the skies operating on Amadeus’ future-ready technology foundation, combining the airline’s rich heritage with modern retailing, personalized offers, and a seamless digital experience.”
