Park Yourself on the DEN Park on the Plaza Before or After your Travels

Nov 2, 2021 | News

DENVER – May 26, 2022 – It’s not a bird or a plane – though you can see both from this view – it’s Denver International Airport’s (DEN) Park on the Plaza! The open-air plaza, between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin Hotel, will once again turn into an outdoor oasis starting tomorrow, Friday, May 27 through Oct. 2.

The park will give passengers an opportunity to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air and even play cornhole. It is a great place to relax on lounge seating before or after their flight, stretch out on grass-like turf and enjoy Colorado-native plants and trees.

Throughout the summer, passengers can kick up their feet and enjoy jazz performances or step up to play a session of free mini golf!

Jazz on the Park, featuring a variety of local jazz bands, will be held on select Fridays from 3-6 p.m. on the Park on the Plaza. Rain or shine. Here’s the schedule:

  • June 3, Danny Showers Trio
  • June 17, Tenia Nelson Trio
  • July 1, Danny Showers Band- “A Salute to America”
  • July 15, Tenia Nelson
  • Aug. 12, Danny Showers Trio
  • Aug. 26, Paul Trunko and Steff Kull

The Mini Golf free nine-hole course will be open daily June 17-July 17 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. See photos from past mini golf here.

The plaza is located pre-security, is open to the public and is accessible just steps from the RTD A-Line station at DEN, or a short walk from the airport parking garages ($5/hour in garage parking, $6/short term parking).
