Parking rate changes at Austin-Bergstrom International will go into effect April 1, 2024

Dec 9, 2023 | News

AUSTIN, Texas – An increase in parking rates at the ABIA Parking Red and Blue garages at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will go into effect April 1, 2024. This rate increase is due to increased passenger activity levels and demand for on-airport parking. With more passengers flying out of AUS, there has been an increase in the demand for on-airport parking facilities at AUS.

Location – New Rate

Blue Garage – $23 a day

Red Garage – $32 a day

Economy parking will stay at the same $12 a day rate.

AUS regularly sees parking facilities at or near capacity during holidays and special events in Austin due to the increased volume of passengers. Raising rates, which is consistent with other major hub airports who have modified parking facilities and pricing after the COVID-19 pandemic, helps raise revenue to fund the airport’s Journey With AUS expansion program, which includes a new West Parking Garage that is currently in the procurement phase for design work.

Benefits of onsite parking include a new reservation system that allows customers to pre-book a spot in the Blue Garage and the Economy Lot up to 24 hours in advance, parking in the closest and most convenient parking for the terminal, and complimentary roadside assistance for flat tires and dead batteries upon returning from travel.

ABIA Parking staff have increased surveillance patrols of all lots and garage and airport administration has worked with the Austin Police Department to increase APD presence in lots and garages. Additionally, all parking lots and garages are equipped with CCTV cameras that monitor the operations 24/7.
